Yamago miso is Koshu miso made from malted rice and malted barley. If I compared it to whiskey, it would be blended whisky such as single malt. Single malt is said to be an aesthetic value of blended, where in Japan there is a blended whisky called "HIBIKI". Yamago miso is absolutely an "HIBIKI" in the miso industry.
